The Prima team was out in force for this year’s Shepway District Council Housing Association Small Gardens competition.
Account manager Donna Hyndman and asset partner Will Chan joined tenants and council representatives for a day of presentations.
This was Shepway’s 8th annual garden competition, open to all residing council tenants and leaseholders. The competition allowed four categories and prizes were awarded to 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners in each category, with overall winners receiving £150 worth of B and Q vouchers. A total of 47 gardens took part in the event.
The judging panel included members of the Shepway Tenants and Leaseholders Board, plus several housing officers from Shepway District Council.
As a regular sponsor of the event, Prima was invited to present an award in the Small Gardens category. Donna Hyndman did the honours: “The standard of entries for the competition was very impressive. I could see that the prizewinners were very dedicated to tending their gardens, which contained a wide range of plants and flowers giving an array of colour.
She added: “It’s very worthwhile for Prima to be involved in community projects like this, and it helps to promote good relationships with residents.”
